VirginiaCarolina Civil will be performing infrastructure work for the City of Norfolk, Virginia. Work includes construction of 2,700 linear feet of new roadway including 2 and 4 lane roadways, wide sidewalk, buffered bicycle lanes, pedestrian accommodations, and a new traffic signal. The project also includes sanitary sewer, water service, stormwater management, pavement markings, and signage improvements.

Burton’s Point Road Reconstruction
Owner: City of Portsmouth, Virginia
VCC has been selected as the Prime Contractor for Burton’s Point Rd. The project consists of raising and replacing Burton’s Point Rd. for approximately 1,800 feet to include roadway improvements to Elm Avenue. Scopes of work include clearing & grubbing, demolition, utilities, stone base, grading, erosion & sediment control, curb and gutter, sidewalk, mill and overlay, signage, and electrical work.

Portsmouth Rail to Trail
Owner: City of Portsmouth, Virginia
VCC has been selected as the Prime Contractor for the Portsmouth Rail to Trail project. The project consists of construction of a 1.7-mile-long asphalt trail, to include stormwater features, landscaping, lighting infrastructure, signage, striping, signals, and hardscape amenities.

Foxfire Pedestrian Bridge & Trail
Owner: City of Virginia Beach, Virginia
VCC has been selected as the Prime Contractor for the Foxfire Pedestrian Bridge & Trail project. The work includes the construction of a 10-foot-wide multi-use path from Foxfire Park to the municipal center of Va. Bch. This construction also includes a boardwalk section and a steel bridge to span West Neck Creek.

Nansemond Parkway/Wilroy Road Overpass Over Commonwealth Railway
VCC has been selected as the Prime Contractor for the Nansemond Parkway/ Wilroy Road Overpass project in Suffolk, VA. This project includes construction of a 220 feet in length bridge structure to span over an existing railroad, building approach embankments for the new bridge structure to include surcharging for settlement, erecting a new signalized traffic intersection, construction of 6,100 feet of new alignment roadway through the corridor. Construction is scheduled to begin August 2023 and is scheduled to be completed in August 2025.

Bridge Rd. & Shoulders Hill Rd. Intersection Improvements
VCC has been selected as the Prime Contractor for the Bridge Rd. & Shoulders Hill Rd. Intersection Improvements project in Suffolk, VA. This project has an 18-month duration for construction. Scope of work for the project includes roadway improvements, drainage and storm water management, public utilities, traffic signalization, roadway lighting, demolition, traffic control and landscaping.

Edwin Dr. Improvements
Owner: City of Chesapeake, Virginia
VCC has been selected as the Prime Contractor for the Edwin Dr. Improvements project. The purpose of this project is to convert Edwin Dr. from a one-way road into a two-way roadway. The project will also include new signalization, and reconstruction of the Rte. 168 southbound ramp to accommodate the new two-way traffic operation.

Scope of work includes excavation of a new storm water management pond, drainage pipe, placement of surcharge for future buildings, grading, erosion control, survey, and clearing.

Greenbrier Parkway & Woodlake Dr. Intersection Improvements

Project consists of adding a separate left turn lane and right turn lane along the eastbound approach of Woodlake Dr. at the Greenbrier Parkway intersection, as well as a traffic signal replacement and upgrades to the storm culvert across Greenbrier Parkway.
